Adam Gregory Sahlfeld

Adam Gregory Sahlfeld was born on August 10, 1984 in Beloit, Kansas, the son of Stan and Marianne Pahls Sahlfeld. He died Sunday, November 18, 2007 at the Mitchell County Hospital in Beloit at the age of 23 years, 3 months, and 8 days.
Adam spent his lifetime in Beloit. He attended St. John's Grade School and Beloit Elementary School before graduating from Beloit High School in the Class of 2003.
He had a major passion for KU and Tennessee sports, enjoyed collecting die-cast model cars, and attending muscular dystrophy camp. He also had a great love for his service dog, Bro, which he considered part of his family.
Adam was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church, and was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #921.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Lucille Sahlfeld, and three uncles, Gregory Allan Sahlfeld, Bill Sirles, and Ed Sahlfeld.
Adam is survived by his loving parents, Stan and Marianne Sahlfeld of Beloit; three sisters, Amy Sahlfeld of Manhattan, Amanda Highland and her husband Josh of Winfield, and Ashley Eck and her husband Keith of Newton; his grandparents, Merwyn and Eleanor Pahls of Beloit; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral mass will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at St. John's Catholic Church in Beloit, followed by burial in St. John's Cemetery. A vigil service will be at 7:00 PM Tuesday at the Church. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Tuesday at McDonald Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to Solomon Valley Hospice, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Mitchell County Hospital Chapel Fund, or Mitchell County EMS.
