Aileen Elsie Diers, the daughter of John and Elsie (White) Coffield, passed away at the Mitchell County Hospital at the age of 96 on September 26, 2017.
She was born in her parents home on a farm in Jewell County on November 4, 1920, and was baptized at the Brown's Creek Church.
After attending Maple Grove Rural School, she graduated from Athens High School.
On August 9, 1941, she was united in marriage with Melvin Inskeep, and born into this union was one son, Douglas Lee, and one daughter, Sheila Kay.
Aileen worked at J.C. Penney, and then Boogaart's Super Market for 28 years until her retirement.
On May 8, 1971, Aileen was married to Adred "A.C." Diers.
She was a member of the Methodist Church, and a life member of the V.F.W.
Survivors include her daughter Shelia Cox and husband William "W.H" of Lyndon, Ks.; granddaughter Shonda Burger and husband Deron, their son Tyler "T.J." Burger and daughter Kailey Burger of Edgerton, Ks.; grandson Jeffery "Jeff" Inskeep and wife Elaine of Platte City, Mo.; daughter-in-law Barbara Inskeep of Platte City, Mo.; grandson Shawn Huckleberry and wife Jan, their daughter Lauren of Parkville, Mo.; grandson Jason Huckleberry and wife Tammy, their daughters Brooke and Samantha of Kansas City, Mo.; step grandson Chip Diers and his son; step granddaughter Jenny Diers and her son Cole, of Wichita, Ks.; step daughter Kathy Diers of Wichita.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Don Coffield; son Douglas "Doug" Lee; step son Charles "Chuck" Diers.
