It was on September 6, 1953 that she married Edwin Walter Lynch at Beloit, Kansas. Three children David, Mark, and Lynn were born to this union. Her husband had a refuse hauling business and besides raising her children, she was the bookkeeper for the family business.

After her children were grown, she continued her education and became a registered dietician, working for a time at the Mitchell County Hospital in Beloit and later at the Mid America Nursing Home in Lincoln. Mr. Lynch died in 1986.

On July 20, 1986 she married Loren Eugene Schneider Sr. They made their home in Beverly. They were privileged to enjoy several years together before his death in 2014.

Although Betty moved around a lot during her lifetime, most of her life was spent living in North Central Kansas.

She was very artistic and engaged herself in quilting, leather crafting, embroidery, and upholstery. She loved music and played the accordion in a band. She loved dogs and had a special affinity for her poodles.
