Beverly Kadel

Beverly Jean Kadel was born on September 12, 1949 in Concordia, Kansas, the daughter of Clarence and Alma Simoneau Fleming. She died Tuesday, December 10, 2013 after a courageous battle against cancer at her home in Beloit, Kansas at the age of 64 years, 2 months, and 28 days.
Beverly grew up in the Concordia area, attending Catholic grade school and later graduating from Notre Dame High School.
On April 27, 1968, she was united in marriage with Mike Kadel. Three children were born to this union – two sons, Lynn and Kevin, and her daughter, Stephanie. They were privileged to spend more than 45 years of marriage together.
She helped on the family farm for years, and also served as a loan officer for Farmway Credit Union in Beloit for several years until her health no longer allowed her to do so.
Beverly's family was very important to her – she greatly enjoyed supporting her children and grandchildren, attending as many activities as she could throughout the years. She always stayed busy with sewing, knitting, crocheting, gardening, and cake baking and decorating. She was also very active in her Church, and was a part of many different Bible Study Classes in both Scottsville and Beloit.
She was a very helping and giving person to so many people, and she touched a lot of people's lives.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Sheryl Scott.
She is survived by her husband, Mike; two sons, Lynn and wife Kristen, and Kevin, all of Beloit; one daughter Stephanie and husband Jason Chancellor of Beloit; seven grandchildren, Ashten and Tate Kadel, Karody Kadel, Colin Loomis, Brayden and Bryce Black, and Caylen Chancellor; one great grandson, Knox; two sisters, Marcia Mauch of Concordia and Denise and her husband Bill Nosek of Omaha; three brothers, David Fleming and wife Chelle of Culver, Dennis Fleming and wife Lisa of Concordia, and Bryan Fleming of Concordia; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 10 AM Saturday, December 14 at the Beloit First Christian Church. Visitation will be from 9 AM to 8 PM with family receiving friends from 5-6 PM Friday at the McDonald Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to Solomon Valley Hospice, the Church, or the Mitchell County Health Department.
