Bonita "Bonnie" Darlene Gaskill was born on July 18, 1943 in Beloit, Kansas, the daughter of Ernest and Cecilia Fisher Mick. She died Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the Salina Regional Health Center in Salina, Kansas at the age of 75 years, 2 months, and 2 days.

Bonnie grew up in Beloit, where she graduated from St. John's High School. Following graduation, she worked as a telephone operator in Beloit before becoming a homemaker.

On November 17, 1962, she was united in marriage with Larry Gaskill, and three children, Brian, Brenda, and Lisa were born to this union.

Bonnie was a loving, caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She was also a very strong individual, who always put others before herself, and was very devoted to her Catholic religion and faith.

She was a very talented painter, cook, and she baked and decorated many wedding and birthday cakes throughout the years for family and the community. And she greatly enjoyed watching her grandsons during their sporting events as well as other activities.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband Larry; her son, Brian and his wife Shelly of Salina; two daughters, Brenda and her husband Frank Hollaway of Beloit, and Lisa and her husband Danny Seamans of Beloit; two grandsons, Zach and Luke Gaskill; and a host of other relatives and friends.


A Memorial Service for Bonnie Gaskill, age 75 of Beloit will be Friday, September 28 at 10 AM at St. John's Catholic Church. Memorials may be given to the St. John's Memorial Trust Fund or Donor's Choice. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place.
