Bradley Jason Fleming was born July 24, 1977 to Charles Lyman and Carol Jean Schmidt Fleming at Beloit, Kansas. He departed this life of 29 years, 5 months, and 8 days at his home in Westminster, Colorado on January 1, 2007.
Brad, as everyone knew him, grew up in Beloit and graduated from Beloit Jr-Sr High School in the Class of 1996. He continued his education at Hutchinson Community College and Wichita State University.
A friendly, people oriented person, Brad had a natural flair for selling. He began selling fine kitchen cutlery for Cutco and soon became very successful. This endeavor required him to frequently move as he opened stores in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Dallas, Texas. He moved on to other things in life and became a recruiter for Westwood College in Denver, Colorado.
Besides selling and recruiting, Brad had other passions in life. Always game for a good time, his favorites included attending concerts in the Denver area, karaoke, skiing, and spending time in and with his car.
He was a member of the Eagles Lodge.
Brad was preceded in death by his parents and his maternal grandfather Donald Schmidt.
Survivors are his brothers Charles R. Fleming, Chad Fleming both of Hays, Travis Fleming of Kansas City, Kansas; maternal grandmother Connie Schmidt of Beloit, paternal grandparents Charles and Norma Fleming of Beloit; uncles Dan Fleming, Steven Fleming and wife Marcia of Beloit; Carl Schmidt of Esbon, Steve Schmidt, Roger Schmidt both of Beloit; aunts Janice McDaniel of Wellington, JoAnn Schmidt of Beloit, and a host of many cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 13, at the Beloit United Methodist Church with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the church, the VFW Auxiliary or the Brad Fleming Scholarship.
