Bradley Leon Wiles

October 7, 1953 — November 1, 2007

Bradley Leon Wiles was born October 7, 1953 to Maurice Lee and Annabelle Lois Zemke Wiles on a farm near Hunter, Kansas. He departed this life of 54 years and 25 days on Thursday, November 1, 2007 at his home in Cawker City, Kansas.

"Brad", as many knew him, grew up on the family farm near Hunter. He graduated from Sylvan Grove High School in the Class of 1971 and enlisted in the United States Air Force.

In 1974, he was married to Marilyn Magdaline Beeson, and to this union were born one daughter Bobbi and one son Billy. This union was later dissolved.

Brad enjoyed outside work, and for many years operated the Wiles Tree Service with his specialty as trimming trees. When not busy with tree work, he bought, sold, and delivered cars, and later became a truck driver for Spears Trucking of Osborne hauling LaCrosse furniture and Robin Champlin of Concordia.

Besides work, Brad enjoyed his family. One of his greatest joys was traveling with them on impromptu trips. His travels took him to many of the fifty states. Brad enjoyed being outside hunting, and working in his garden and yard. He also became very passionate in learning as much as he could about cancer.

He was a member of the Hunter United Methodist Church, and the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6242 of Beloit.

His parents preceded him in death. In addition, Brad was preceded in death by one brother Rodger Wiles.

Left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life are his children Bobbi Dayle Wiles and fiancé Eddie Miller of Phillipsburg, Kansas, Billy Wiles and wife Cheryl of Concordia, Kansas; his special friend Joetta Wright of Cawker City; one brother Bob Wiles and wife Nancy of Hunter, Kansas; two grandchildren and a host of many relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 8, 2007 at the McDonald Funeral Home with Pastor Marion Walker officiating. Cremation will follow the service and the ashes will be interred at a later date in the Rose Valley Cemetery near Hunter, Kansas.
