Carrie Marita Brayton was born on October 26, 1993 in Salina, Kansas, the daughter of Mike and Susan Link Brayton. She died early Sunday, December 7, 2014 as the result of an automobile accident in rural Cloud County at the age of 21 years old.
Carrie grew up and spent nearly all her life in Glasco, where she graduated from Southern Cloud High School and then attended Kansas State University. She was currently attending Cloud County Community College and also attending medical aid classes in Salina.
Carrie was a very loving person, who had a lot of fun and easily made friends. She could also be a little hard-headed but always had a kind heart.
Growing up, Carrie was very active in sports and was a lifeguard for many years. She loved spending her free time golfing. In addition to attending school, she was working as a nurse's aide and also as a waitress. Carrie especially loved working cattle with her dad on the farm. She also greatly loved her special dog, Callie.
Carrie is survived by her parents, Mike and Susan Brayton of Glasco; her brother, Grady; her grandparents, Wayne and Nancy Brayton of Glasco, and Vincent and Roberta Link of Aurora, Kansas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Saturday, December 13 at the Glasco School Gymnasium in Glasco. Visitation will be from 5-7:30 PM Friday , with family present from 6-7 PM, December 12 at Dean Funeral Home in Glasco. Memorials may be given to the Glasco Country Club or the Glasco Alumni Scholarship Fund.
