Clarence J. Krier

Clarence Joseph Krier, the son of Henry and Elizabeth Hoffman Krier, was born November 19, 1928, at Tipton, Kansas. He died November 19, 2006, at his home in Beloit, Kansas, on his 78th Birthday.
Clarence grew up on the farm and attended country school and Tipton High School. He was united in marriage with Rosella Budke at St. John's Church in Beloit, Kansas, on August 1, 1950, and one daughter and four sons were born to that union. The couple had been privileged to spend 56 years of married life together.
Shortly after their marriage, Clarence was called to duty in the US Air Force where he served from 1950-1954. After his discharge, the family moved to Beloit where Clarence was associated with the Boettcher Supply Company. On January 1, 1963, he established the Krier Electric and Supply Company which later became Krier Auto Parts.
Clarence was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the VFW. He enjoyed playing golf, carpentry work, and shooting bluerock.
Survivors include his wife, Rosella of the home; a daughter, Kathleen Hauth and her husband, Jerry of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two sons and their wives, Dennis and Susan Krier of Concordia, and Douglas and Carol Krier of Beloit; twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Thomas and Kenneth; five brothers, Lawrence, Arnold, Leo, Frowin and Marvin Krier; and three sisters, Josephine Kelley, Isabell Spaeth and Laurine Mayers.

A funeral mass will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 22 at the St. John's Catholic Church in Beloit followed by burial in St. John's Cemetery. A rosary service will be at 6:30 PM Tuesday at McDonald Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the St. John's Memorial Trust Fund or Solomon Valley Hospice.
