Craig M. Reiter, age 72, of Beloit, Kansas, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024. Craig was born February 15, 1952, to Max and Nadine (Adams) Reiter, and grew up in Beloit alongside his brother Scott. Craig graduated from Beloit High School (1970) and then attended Bethany College, Kansas State, Pittsburg State University, and Beloit Technical College.
Craig married MaDonna Farrell at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Beloit, Kansas on July 18, 1992. He served as a parishioner and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Craig was an avid car enthusiast from day one. As a child, he won model car building contests. He was immersed in the automotive industry as a mechanic, an instructor, and later at Bumper to Bumper. He loved everything automotive and took great pride in sharing this enthusiasm with his family, a legacy which carries on today.
Craig enjoyed music almost as much as cars. He performed as a trumpet player in bands, orchestras, and as a Soloist. Craig's love of music was shared with and carried on to his children, who recall listening to albums on his turntable.
Despite living with Multiple Sclerosis for many years, Craig found joy in his family and hobbies. Craig had a long struggle; he was courageous and uncomplaining. The family is grateful for all caregivers encountered in Beloit, Downs, and Osborne.
Craig was preceded in death by parents Max and Nadine Reiter, and father-in-law Joe Farrell. Craig is survived by his wife MaDonna, and children: Loren and Bonnie Reiter, Nick and Laura Reiter, Adele Reiter and Josh Nordin, Dustin Reiter and Aimee Wentworth; grandchildren Triston, Hudson, Penelope, Silas, Rosemary, and Ivy; brother Scott Reiter and Nancy Green, mother-in-law Ellen Farrell, and brothers-in-law Chris Farrell and Brian and Dena Farrell; 'special aunts', cousins, nieces, and nephews.
