Dean Neifert

Dean Austin Neifert, 58, retired flight attendant for TWA and American Airlines, passed away peacefully on December 8 ^, 2021, at his home in Highlands Ranch Colorado.  He was born September 24, 1963 to Dennis and Sherry (Winkel) Neifert.  Dean was a graduate of South High School in Wichita, Kansas.

Having an enormous passion for travel, Dean became a flight attendant for TWA Airlines shortly after high school.  He worked international flights for nearly 20-years and was able to not only see the world, but also make friends from many countries.  He often said he felt like had to be one of the most fortunate people on earth to be able to see the world as he did.  Dean had an amazing gift for story-telling, and was always able share the stories of his many travels with humor, color, and detail, making the listener feel like he was there.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Sherry, his grandparents Austin and Bernadene (Trubey) Neifert, and Harold and Lola (Barnett) Winkel.  He is survived by his sister Lori; three nieces Kayli (Adam), Jordan, and Morgan; 2 nephews Aaron and Jared; and one great-nephew Mason.

Graveside services will be at 3 PM Monday, December 20 at the Glenwood Cemetery in Glen Elder. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be given to ASPCA.
