Dian E. Jamison

January 9, 1934 — January 8, 2012

Dian Elaine Jamison was born January 9, 1934 to Ray and Madeline Quell Clark at St. Joseph, Missouri. Her Heavenly release from a lengthy illness came late Sunday afternoon, January 8, 2012 at the Mitchell County Hospital in Beloit, Kansas; one day before her 78th birthday.

Dian grew up in nearby Plattsburg, Missouri where she graduated from high school. She continued her education at the University of Missouri at Kansas City.

On September 20, 1958 she married Bernard F. Jamison at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Kansas City, Missouri. After their marriage, they lived in Herington, Madison, Overland Park and Manhattan, Kansas before moving to Beloit in January, 1967 when Bernard purchased the Bunch Drug Company. Two children Clark and Michelle were born to this union.

Dian focused her life around her home and her family. She loved baking and was noted for her blueberry-sour cream cheesecake. She was always there for her family and enjoyed taking long family vacations to places such as the Grand Canyon, Wisconsin Dells, and Mt. Rushmore. Dian enjoyed playing the piano and singing. Dian loved her grandchildren.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and enjoyed singing in the church choir.

Her parents and an infant brother preceded her in death.

Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life are her husband Bernard of the home; one son Clark Jamison and wife Malika of Lawrence, KS, one daughter Michelle Orlando and husband Rob of Austin, TX; two grandchildren Matthew and Emma Orlando and step grandchildren.

Father Joseph Kieffer will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 13, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Masses or St. John's Education Fund. Visitation will be from 9 AM until 8 PM Thursday at the McDonald Funeral Home where the Parish Vigil and Rosary will be held at 6:30 P.M. Thursday.
