Diana Louise Sibley was born on January 19, 1966 in Beloit, Kansas, the daughter of Richard and Barbara Sporleder St. John. She died Monday, July 20, 2009 at Via Christi-St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas as the result of a tragic accident at the age of 43 years, 6 months, and 1 day.
She grew up in the Beloit, Jewell, and Randall areas and attended school in Beloit.
Diana was known as a "Jane of all trades", as she was a bartender and waitress at the Rainbow, Plum Creek, and at the Eagle's Club for several years.
She was a very helping person – she loved to talk with and help people, and had a big heart. One of Diane's greatest qualities was being able to meet people, and never forget them.
Diana loved her flowers and plants, and enjoyed the birds and squirrels. And, she absolutely adored her grandchildren, and her special dog, Chico.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard St. John, her brother, Larry, and an infant sister.
Diana is survived by her husband Warren Pilcher of the home; her mother, Barbara St. John of Manhattan; her daughter, Kara Sibley-Hiserote and special friend Jamie of Beloit; three sons, Josh St. John and wife Emily of Manhattan, Michael Sibley of Beloit, and Anthony Sibley of Beloit; two brothers, Terry St. John and wife Josie of McPherson and Stanley St. John and wife Lori of Mankato; two sisters, Rose St. John of Colorado and Lena Chapman and husband Edward of Manhattan; her grandmother, Frances Sporleder of Beloit; three grandchildren, Branson, Tierra, and Korbin and a grandchild on the way; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, July 24, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church in Beloit. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM Thursday, July 23 at the McDonald Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the Funeral Expense Fund.
