Dolores Fern Kjellberg was born on July 13, 1938 in Studley, Kansas, the daughter of Cleo and Marjorie Richards Morgan. She died suddenly on Sunday, December 16, 2007 at the Mitchell County Hospital in Beloit, Kansas at the age of 69 years, 5 months, and 3 days.
Dolores grew up in the Studley area, and following high school, she received training to become a medication aide.
On February 27, 1956, Dolores was united in marriage with Kenneth Bean. Three children were born to this union, Deanna, Tracy, and Kenyen.
She was married to James Kjellberg on December 13, 1975, in Home, Kansas, and Jim's three children, Marcia, Troy, and Justin, were brought into their family. They were privileged to spend 32 years of marriage together, and celebrated their anniversary earlier this month.
Dolores enjoyed quilting, sewing, fishing and camping, and playing cards. She loved to email friends and family, and had great joy in her children and grandchildren.
She was a member of the New Life Assembly of God Church in Beloit, and stayed very active in the Church activities.
Dolores was preceded in death by her father, Cleo Morgan.
She is survived by her husband Jim of the home; three sons, Kenyen Bean of Cawker City, Troy Kjellberg and his wife Angie of Beloit, and Justin Kjellberg of Beloit; three daughters, Deanna Schroeder and her husband Matt of Hunter, Tracy Riffel and her husband Greg of Valley Center, and Marcia Heins of Salina; her parents, Marjorie and Jim Hilburn of Hoxie; one brother, Bill Morgan and his wife Ruth of Potter, Nebraska; one sister, Carol Sewell and her husband Leonard of Hoxie; 15 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, December 20, at the New Life Assembly of God Church in Beloit, followed by burial in Elmwood Cemetery in Beloit. Memorials may be given to the Church or the Mitchell County Hospital. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, and the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home.
