Donald Lee Larson was born October 7, 1942 in Red Oak, Iowa. He died Sunday, June 20, 2010 at the Salina Regional Hospital at the age of 67.
He was raised on a farm near Clarinda, Iowa. He married Jacqueline McPherron on February 23, 1963.
Don enjoyed his work as lab supervisor at the Mitchell County Hospital for 31 years, and retired in November 1997.
His love of hunting and fishing provided many fun times and memories with his family, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Myrtle Larson, and his youngest brother, Robert Larson.
Survivors to celebrate his life are his wife, Jackie; daughters, Kimberly (David) Cooper, Jill (David) Porubovic; son, Greg (Gwen); brother, Kennard Larson; sisters, Rosalie Neumeyer and Rebecca Clemens; seven grandchildren; and nine nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Friday, June 25 at the Zion Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 9 AM to 8 PM Thursday at McDonald Funeral Home, where the family will greet friends from 6 PM to 8 PM. Memorials may be given to the Mitchell County Regional Medical Foundation or the Zion Lutheran Church.
