Glen Elder Dorothy (Dot) E. Timbers was born to Robert and Mabel (Berry) Bowman on February 11, 1933, and passed to the next journey on June 17, 2019. Dot lived a full life, much of which was spent raising her children, grandchildren, and a few other wayward souls on a farm north of Glen Elder, KS. Her journey through life took a variety of paths from nursing, to rodeos and racing quarter horses, to managing the office at the Osborne Livestock sale barn until she retired. Well known for her cooking, it was never difficult to find harvest help knowing one of her meals was going to be waiting at the end of the day. She was an active member of the United Methodists church, American Legion Auxiliary, and her bridge club. She loved her family, horses, and country life. She was the proud wife of Roy D. Timbers; mother of Vann & Betty (Lund) Timbers; Grandmother of Cade, Thane, & Cianna (Kulik) Timbers and Craig & Brady Lund; Great-Grandmother of Jasia Lund, Thane (TJ) Timbers Jr, & Alix Kulik. She was preceded in death by her siblings, husband, and children. She will be remembered and missed by many. Graveside Services for Dorothy Timbers, age 86 will be 10:00 AM Friday, June 21 at the Glenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Timbers died Monday, June 17 at the Mitchell County Hospital in Beloit.
