At a very early age, Gladys learned how to sew which later became one of her passions. For many years, she was the seamstress of Glasco, altering clothes for virtually every one including Dean's Men's Wear.
Always a people person, Gladys cherished her large family. She enjoyed children and for many years was a day care provider. Later, she became a Certified Nurses Aide at the Nicol Home in Glasco. Besides people, Gladys had a love for working in her large garden. Every year, she did much of the work by hand, and loved sharing the bounty with others. She also had a deep love for animals.
