Farrell Lazo Hanna was born January 13, 1963 to Joe Ralph and Eva Joyce Campbell Hanna at Talihina, Oklahoma.
He departed this life of 52 years unexpectedly Thursday afternoon, March 12, 2015 at the Mitchell County Hospital in Beloit, Kansas.
Farrell grew up in Lewisville, Texas. He graduated from Silo High School, Durant, Oklahoma in the Class of 1981.
At an early age, Farrell learned the value of hard work. He became a carpenter. While he enjoyed carpentry, his greatest love was working outside with pigs and was currently working for Crumbaker Farms in Beloit at the time of his untimely death.
He married Marla Rae Gullion on April 27, 1999 at Denton, Texas. They came to Beloit a few years ago.
A kind, compassionate, and caring man, Farrell was always eager to help anyone in need; continually having a soft spot in his heart for those less fortunate. He was a great husband, father, and grandfather to his family. He treasured the time he spent with his grandkids.
Besides his family and work, Farrell lived life to the absolute fullest. He loved being outside, riding just about anything, and was an avid NASCAR fan.
His father Joe Ralph Hanna preceded him in death. In addition, he was preceded in death by his brother Stephen Ray Hanna.
Farrell will be deeply missed by his wife Marla of the home, his mother Eva Joyce Lazo and step father Douglas Lazo of Lewisville, Texas; children Kia Hanna, Kecia Hanna, Kenya Green-Hanna, Kevin Hanna, Randy Hanna, and Michala Hanna; one sister L'Jon Hassell of Lewisville, Texas, one brother Tremlin Lazo of Flower Mound, Texas; one half-brother Terry Joe Hanna of Houston, Texas; grandchildren Jazmyne Brown, Avery McCoy, Cayson McCoy, Blaze Hay, Carter Green.
Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the McDonald Funeral Home. Mr. Hanna will be transported to his home state of Oklahoma where interment will be in the A.L. Stephens Cemetery at Clayton, Oklahoma.
