Francis O. Farrow

Francis O'Brien Farrow was born October 18, 1920 to Calvin and Lilly Bell White Farrow at Beloit, Kansas. He died Monday, June 22, 2009 at Hilltop Lodge in Beloit at the age of 88 years, 8 months, and 4 days.
He attended several schools in and around Beloit. In 1942, he was called into the Air Force and later the Army, where he served 42 months in the states, the Philippines, and Japan.
He was married to Theda Cooper in the Methodist Church in Salina, Kansas on April 25, 1945. He was discharged from the Army in February, 1946.
Later, he attended the school of Cosmetology in Wichita, Kansas, and worked at that business form 30 years.
He was a member of the Lutheran Church and the VFW.
On November 1, 1953, a son Bradley was born to them. The family moved to Security, Colorado, where they lived until 1972. They moved back to Glen Elder, where he retired after he worked at the Youth Center at Beloit for 9 years.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Francis was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Theda, a brother Matt, and two sisters, Hazel and Erma.
He is survived by his son Bradley.

Graveside memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 25 at Glenwood Cemetery in Glen Elder. There will be no visitation - the body has been cremated. Memorials may be given to the ABC Children's Learning Center.
