Gary L. Doyle Sr.
Gary L. Doyle Sr. was born on December 5, 1949 to Warner and Sarah Doyle at Lakin, Ks. He departed this life of 61 years early Wednesday morning September 7, 2011 at the Mitchell County Hospital Beloit, Ks. His wife Jolene and son Gary were by his side.
Gary spent his childhood growing up in Lakin and graduated from Lakin High School.
On January 3, 1970 he married Jolene Kay Hyman of Beloit, KS. Two children were to this union- Tina and Gary.
Gary was a very proud American. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy Seabees for 20 years. He served 2 tours in Vietnam. He traveled to many foreign countries during his time in the Navy. He was very proud of the fact that he made it to all 50 states. After his retirement from the US Navy he drove a semi for J.D. Trucking out of Solomon Rapids, KS. He enjoyed trucking but had to retire due to his health.
His parents Warner and Sarah and his infant brother Patrick preceded him in death.
Left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life are his wife of 41 years Jolene of Beloit; daughter Tina Boyd and husband Sandy of Hampton, VA., son Gary Doyle and wife Patty of Beloit, KS; brothers Howard Doyle and his wife Dalene of Goodyear, AZ; and James Doyle of Burns, WY. He also has 8 grandchildren who love him dearly; Sierra, Lexi, Kaylie, and Sam of Hampton, VA., and LeAnn, Shandi, Trevor, and Preston of Beloit, KS.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 12, 2011 at the McDonald Funeral Home with Pastor Rich Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with military rites. Memorials may be given to the Disabled Vietnam Veterans. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday, September 11, 2011 at the McDonald Funeral Home.
