Georgia Pahls passed away on Wednesday, August 29th. She was born to Frank and Leona Greif on July 13th, 1932. Georgia attended Tipton area schools and graduated from Tipton High School in 1950. She attended Marymount College. She married Adolph Pahls, Jr. on October 21st, 1954, and was married for nearly 58 years. She worked for the United States Postal Service for 32 years and was a home maker. Preceding Georgia in death are her husband, Adolph on August 29, 2012, her parents, and brothers Jerome and Max.
Survivors include her sons Larry (Pattie) of Lees Summit, MO, Bob (Janet) of Salina, KS, Steve (Tina) of Kansas City, MO, Curtis (Karen) of Beloit, KS, and Mark (Angie) of Hays, KS; and daughters Mary Ellen Muninger (Sheldon) of Salina, KS, and Janice McMillan (Greg) of Randall, KS. Grandchildren are Brian (Diane) Pahls, Melissa Pahls, Ryan (Katie) Muninger, Alex Muninger, Chris (Amanda) Pahls, Katie (Chris) Lonergan, Matt Pahls, Nick Pahls, Derrick (Jami) Pahls, Dale Pahls, Danielle Pahls, Blake (Meghan) McMillan, Brock McMillan, Blair McMillan, Emily Pahls, Eric Pahls, Sam Pahls, Dylan Lang, Ben Pahls, Jacob Pahls, Elijah Pahls, and Samuel Pahls. Great-Grandchildren are Gavin Pahls, Kaden Pahls, and Noah Lonergan. Also surviving are sisters-in-law Betty Greif and Nathlene Greif.
A joint funeral mass with her husband, Adolph "Junior", will be at 10 AM Saturday, September 1 at the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Tipton. Visitation will be from 11 AM - 3 PM Friday at the McDonald Funeral Home. A parish vigil service will be at 7 PM Friday at the Church. Per their wishes, the caskets will remain closed. Memorials may be given to Tipton Schools, Solomon Valley Hospice, or Solomon Valley Transportation.
