Glenn David Miller was born July 30, 1942 to Glen Wood and Clementine Juanita Elizabeth Cook Miller at Beloit, Kansas. He departed this life of 65 years, 6 months, and 5 days Monday afternoon, February 4, 2008 at the Ottawa County Health Center in Minneapolis, Kansas.
David, as everyone knew him, spent his entire life living in Barnard, having graduated from Barnard High School in the Class of 1961.
A rather quiet, easy going person, David loved the basics of life and greeted everyone by saying Mornin'. He was an avid reader and loved listening to the radio, especially Good Time Oldies 98. 5 F.M. He enjoyed farm work and helped area farmers with whatever had to be done. David took care of mowing the church and parsonage yard at the Barnard Baptist Church and when needed helped at the Hart Grocery Store.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Paul Miller.
Survivors are two brothers Gerald and Robert Miller both of Dodge City; two sisters Geraldine Webster of Beloit, Kathleen Miller of Salina; one niece, four nephews, and a host of friends and neighbors.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 7, 2008 at Green Mound Cemetery near Asherville. Memorials may be given to the Funeral Expense Fund or the American Cancer Society. Friends may call from 1:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. Wednesday and from 9:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. Thursday at the McDonald Funeral Home.
