Glasco

Gordon Earl Morris, born on March 5th, 1960, and he left his earthly body at his home on February 22nd, 2023 in Glasco, Kansas. Gordon is the Son of Bud Morris and Roberta and Phillip Hoffman.

Gordon was a hard worker all his life taking pride in everything he did. From working at Sunflower for many years, to making cellophane. He was employed with Landoll at the time of his passing and loved his work family.

Gordon had a love for history and sports, especially his Chiefs, KU Jayhawks and his KC Royals. You could always see him cheering them on. He loved his westerns but most of all John Wayne. His family and friends will miss his sense of humor and his contagious smile but most of all his unconditional love. Gordy loved to sit and reminisce about the past while listening to some good tunes. He never knew a stranger and became friends with most, that turned into lifelong friends that could never miss a beat.

Gordon loved life but most of all he loved his family, his children, his grandbabies, great grandbabies and his nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death, by his Fathers Bud Morris and Phillip Hoffman and many other beloved family members that he adored. He is survived by his beloved cats of the home, his Mother Bobbie Hoffman of Topeka, KS, Sisters, Jerri Higle (Tony) of Glasco, KS, Cathy Morris (Mike Wallace) of Eudora, KS, LeRae Akers (Dean) of Auburn, KS, Stephanie Morris of Eureka, CA and his brother Aaron Morris of Topeka, KS. His Children, Annie Morris of Beloit, KS, Jeremy Morris of Topeka, KS and Katie Rosebaugh (Jason) of Glasco, KS. Gordon had 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will be having two celebrations of life for Gordon, first one being in Topeka Ks on March 18th, 2023 from 11 AM to Noon at the Preston Hale Room at the Ward Meade Historic Site in Topeka, and the second will be held at the Glasco VFW on March 25, 2023 at 11am with a meal to follow.
