Helen S. Hayden

Helen S. Hayden, age 61, passed away on September 5, 2019 at the Resident Care Center in Beloit, Kansas. Helen was born on November 7, 1957 to Richard Colby and Dorinda Bourque in Beloit, Kansas.

Helen married Timothy Hayden in 1975 in Beloit. Helen and Tim lived in Beloit for 25 years and then moved to Asherville in 2001. Helen worked at Hilltop Lodge Retirement home for 30 plus years as a certified nurse's aide (CNA).

Helen enjoyed working with the residents at Hilltop Lodge. She also enjoyed spending time with family and grandkids. Helen was blessed with four children & 11 grandchildren.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Colby and Dorinda Bourque; sister, Carol Cartwright; granddaughter, Katie Hayden; and father-in-law, Raymond Hayden.

She is survived by her husband Tim; daughters, Sally Dougherty (Dustin) of Beloit, and Sadie Hayden of Jewell; sons, Cody Hayden (Dee) of Jewell, and Curtis Hayden of Jewell; sisters, Dorene Hatesohl (Doug) of Concordia, Josie St. John (Terry) of McPherson, Diane Monty (Doug) of Beloit, and Richae Mizner of Concordia; brothers, Rick Colby (Mary) of Concordia, and Joseph Colby of Concordia; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 10 AM Monday, September 9 at the Roberts Family Funeral Home followed by burial in Wallace Cemetery near Jewell. Visitation will be from 1-8 PM Sunday at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to Solomon Valley Hospice.
