Herberta A. Hamm
Herberta Ann Hamm was born October 21, 1939 to Herbert and Mae Carleton Divilbiss at Salina, Kansas. She departed this life of 67 years, 6 months, and 25 days late Tuesday afternoon, May 15, 2007 at Salina Regional Health Center in Salina, Kansas.
"Herbie", as everyone knew her, grew up in Salina and lived for a time in Beloit before making her home in Salina.
On July 29, 1964 she married Harry Leon Hamm, and to this union were born two children Scott Duane and Dawn Lea. This union was later dissolved.
"Herbie" was a longtime employee of Tony's Pizza Service. She was a good and loyal worker and worked her way to a supervisory position. She retired in 2002 after a career of 29 years.
Always a rather straight-forward person, her door was always open to her family and friends and friends of her children. She was a very good bowler and enjoyed bowling for Tony's. Besides bowling, she loved cooking, growing flowers, fishing, and playing Bingo.
Herbie loved her grandchildren Shelby, Lane, and Logan. She was looking forward to the birth of her grandchild in October, hoping it would be on her birthday.
Survivors are her son Scott Hamm of the home, one daughter Dawn Branesky and husband Dennis of Salina; one sister Donna Chapman of Beloit; one nephew Jeffery Chapman and family of Walker, Michigan, three grandchildren, several step grandchildren and a host of many cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister Floretta.
Herbie is now at peace with our Lord.
