Jayme Alan Johnson
October 30, 1964 – March 8, 2012

Jayme Johnson, 47, Beloit, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the Mitchell County Hospital Resident Care Center after courageously enduring a terminal illness for several years.

Born October 30, 1964 in Beloit, Kansas at the Mitchell County Community Hospital, he was the youngest child and only son of Rollin Dale and Cynthia Ann (Rawlings) Johnson.

He attended Beloit Elementary School and graduated from Beloit Jr-Sr High School in 1983. He progressed with his education by majoring in Business at Kansas State University. After college he moved to Kansas City in 1987 where he lived until 2004, at which time he returned to Beloit. Jayme was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the American Bowling Association. He never married nor had children.

Jayme was a happy-go-lucky, fun-loving, kind man. His greatest joys were riding around in his convertibles, listening to music, being outdoors, sharing time with his family and working with his hands. He loved his job framing/matting artwork and embraced this industry for 14 years before being forced to officially retire from the workforce in 2001.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rollin Dale Johnson; maternal grandparents Harold and Daisy (Lancaster) Rawlings; and paternal grandparents Elmer and Marea (Lalicker) Johnson.

Left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life are his mother Cynthia Johnson of Beloit; two sisters Julie Johnson of Gaylord, Michigan and Janet Lippert and husband Tony, niece Nicola Lippert and nephew Nathan Lippert all of Ovilla, Texas, along with a host of many cousins and friends.

As per wishes of the deceased, cremation has taken place. A visitation service will be held 6:30 PM-7:30PM Monday evening, March 12, and the Memorial Service will be at 10 AM Tuesday, March 13, 2012 both at the First Presbyterian Church, 321 E. Main in Beloit. Pastor Deb Hadachek will officiate. A meal will follow the Tuesday service at the church. Please honor us by attending and sharing your memories in celebration of Jayme's life.
