Pernilda Jean Bonneau died on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at the Mitchell County Hospital in Beloit, Kansas at the age of 88.
Jean was born August 6, 1920 to Lauren J. and Alma P. Olson Harper on a farm near Glasco where she completed high school and worked in the telephone office. A life-long resident of the Glasco area, she was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the VFW Auxiliary.
On September 5, 1942, she was united in marriage to Louis B. Bonneau. Jean devoted her life to her family, the farm, church and community. She will be remembered for her warm smile, sense of humor and positive attitude.
She is survived by one son Don Bonneau and wife Mary Lynne, Indianola, Iowa; three daughters Beverly Pitner, Buffalo, Minnesota, Helen Kramer, Shawnee, Kansas, Barbara Rumsey and husband Ben, Kearney, Missouri; grandchildren Joe, Tim, Larissa, Jennifer, Zac, Jessica, David, Luke, Adam, Matt, and Nick; and great grandchildren Kaylynne, Parker, Olivia, Donnie, Jackson, Grant, Madeleine, Collin, Audrey, TJ and Morgan; and one sister Maxine Jones, Glasco. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis and grandson Shawn Kramer, Liberty, Missouri
On Wednesday, April 8, 2009, the Rosary and Vigil were held at St. Mary's Catholic Church followed by the 11:00 A.M. Mass of Resurrection celebrated by Monsignor James Hake. Burial followed in Glasco Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Glasco or the Nicol Home. Arrangements were under the care and direction of the Dean Funeral Home.
