Jolene Kay Doyle

Jolene Kay Doyle, lovingly known as Jo, age 69, passed from this life on January 30, 2022, peacefully in her home surrounded by family.

She was born July 12, 1952 right here in Beloit, Kansas, to Gertrude and Floyd Hyman. On January 3, 1970, she married her husband of 41 years, Gary L. Doyle, Sr. of Lakin, Kansas. Jolene and Gary had two children, Tina Boyd (Sandy) of Hampton, Virginia, and Gary Jr. (Patty) of Beloit, Kansas.

Jolene and her family enjoyed traveling the world during Gary Sr's 20-year Navy career. They lived as close as Mississippi, and as far as Puerto Rico, and even Iceland. In 1989, Gary Sr. retired from the Navy, and they came back to live in Beloit.

After returning to Beloit, Jo worked for over 20 years as Assistant Manager for Dollar General since their opening in 1990.

Left to celebrate her life and mourn her passing are her children, Tina (Sandy) Boyd of Hampton, Virginia, Gary Jr. (Patty) of Beloit; 8 grandchildren, Sierra, Lexi, Kaylie (Keith), and Sam and LeAnn, Shandi, Trevor, and Preston; 3 great-grandchildren, Ivan, Liberty, and Jameson; and boyfriend, Mark Heinen.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM Thursday, February 3 at Roberts Family Funeral Home.  To watch live stream click on this link: https://youtu.be/1ABpxacJpWA .  Visitation will be from be from 1-7 PM with family present from 5-6:30 PM Wednesday.  Memorials may be given to the Solomon Valley Hospice or the Post Rock Humane Society.
