Juanita Dorlyn Cox was born on July 22, 1920 in Randall, Kansas, the daughter of Marion G. and Lottie E. Romine Sadler. She died on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at the Mitchell County Hospital in Beloit at the age of 91 years, 3 months, and 15 days.
She grew up in the Randall area, where she graduated from Randall High School.
On April 13, 1941, she was united in marriage with R.L. "Lindley" Cox in Beloit. Two sons were born to this union. They were privileged to spend more than 49 years of marriage until he died in October of 1990.
After their marriage, they moved around while he worked on elevators, living in Texas, South Dakota, Iowa, and Arkansas. They later settled in Beloit, where Juanita worked at Rite Way Laundry and Dry Cleaning for more than 25 years.
Juanita was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the VFW Auxiliary Post #6242.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Milton, Claire, and Dorris; and five sisters, Josie, Esther, Lydia, Alice, and Pauline.
Juanita is survived by her two sons, W.H. and his wife Sheila and Harvey and his wife Pene Sue, all of Beloit; four grandchildren, Shonda Burger and her husband Deron, Aaron Cox, Carl Cox, and Abby Haller and her husband Tony; three great grandchildren, Tyler and Kailey Burger, and Taylor Cox; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 9 at the McDonald Funeral Home followed by burial in Scottsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the VFW Auxiliary Post #6242 or the First Baptist Church.
