Judith A. Thrapp

April 8, 1959 — December 11, 2009

Beloit

Judith Ann Thrapp was born April 8, 1959 to Murl Dean and Carolyn Jean Teasley Thrapp at Providence Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas. Her sudden departure from this life came Friday afternoon, December 11, 2009 at Cloud County Health Center in Concordia at the age of 50 years, 8 months, and 3 days.

"Judi" as everyone knew her, moved to Beloit in 1968 and in 1969 moved to Glasco where she graduated from high school in the Class of 1977. She continued her education at Kansas State University and Bethany College Lindsborg, Kansas. Judy later moved to McPherson and worked for the Raybestos Company and suffered a work injury. After recovery, she worked at the Fuller Brush Company in Great Bend for a few years. Perhaps her greatest joy was working as a home health aide for Sunflower Home Health. In 2005 she returned to Concordia and was currently taking internet classes.

A kindhearted, people loving person, Judi touched many lives everywhere she went. She loved sewing and made many doll clothes for her nieces. Knitting & crocheting were among her favorite activities. Judi was very computer savvy and enjoyed sharing her knowledge with others.

She was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life are her parents Murl and Carolyn Thrapp of Glasco; one daughter Debra Frances Scatturo of New Jersey; one brother Mark Thrapp and wife Anita of Salina; three sisters Dawn Sibley and husband Randy of Beloit, Kandy Jordan and significant other Sheldon File of Beloit, Dana Long and husband Mike of Winston, Georgia; aunts Kathleen Kirgis of Jewell, Bonnie Weigel of Salina and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at the Dean Funeral Home with burial following in Glasco Cemetery. Memorials mayt be given to the Funeral Expense Fund or St. Jude's Hospital. Friends may call from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM Tuesday at the Dean Funeral Home.
