June Fuller

June 22, 1918 — March 22, 2006

Bernice "June" Fuller was born on June 22, 1918 in Wood River, Nebraska, the eldest of three daughters of Dale and Carrie McKee Cross. She died Wednesday, March 22, 2006 following complications from a car accident in September, at Hilltop Lodge in Beloit, Kansas at the age of 87 years and 9 months.
June, as she was known, grew up and attended school in Wood River, and later married Ronald Worth "Chunk" Rhodes in 1937.
She taught school for several years in the Scottsville area, worked for Evelyn Brummet's Abstract Office in Concordia, and then helped her husband, Chunk, by keeping the books at the Pfister Rhodes Implement Company, which he owned and operated for several years in Jamestown.
After Chunk passed away in 1973, June worked as a tour guide, assisting with many bus trips traveling to various states. She married Neil Fuller in 1985 and moved to Beloit.
June was a member of the Jamestown Presbyterian Church, where she played the organ for many years. Her gentle nature and loving manner will be missed by all.
In addition to her husband Chunk, June was preceded in death by her parents; her second husband, Neil in 1986; one sister, Billie Fry; and a sister-in-law, Zelda Rhodes.
She is survived by her son, Ron Rhodes and his wife Sue of Granbury, Texas; two granddaughters, Rhonda Sue Rhodes and Kari Jo Rhodes, and one great granddaughter, Sydney Tate Tubbs, all of Ft. Worth, Texas; one stepson, PM Fuller and his wife, Dorothy of Beloit; three step grandsons, Mark, Jeff, and Tad Fuller, all of Beloit; seventeen step-great grandchildren; two step great-great grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Walradt of Cheyenne, Wyoming; one brother-in-law, Howard Rhodes of Jamestown; several nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Madeline Grosse of Concordia, and Charlotte Swisher of Beloit.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, March 25, 2006 at the McDonald Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Parker officiating. Cremation will follow the service and burial of the ashes will be at a later date in the Jamestown Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Solomon Valley Hospice or the Charity of the Donor's Choice. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday at the McDonald Funeral Home.
