Kevin Patrick "Pat" Herndon, 62, died Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, KS. Pat was born August 30, 1950 to T.W. "Bill" & Sally Johnston Herndon in Stockton, KS. He was the 3rd of 5 children. In 1955 his parents moved to Texas and Pat grew up in Oak Cliff, graduating from Kimball High School in 1968. On January 3, 1969 he married Barbara Carley and two kids were born to this union Kevin Shane and Megan Ashley.

On November 6, 2006 he married Molly Ford.

Pat was a Master Electrician and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He started his electrical career in the Dallas area, later moving to Denver, CO and then traveled to various U.S. cities including New York City & Houston to name a few, for union electrical contractors. He later moved back to the Dallas-Ft. Worth area where he worke most of his life doing electrical work. Pat was a hard worker and took pride in his work. He was also very handy and could fix about anything. He enjoyed swimming and maintaining his backyard pool.

He was a loving husband, dad, son, brother and paw paw-pop. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, and trips to the coast.

Recently he had really enjoyed living at Surfside Beach, TX with his wife Molly and being close to the beach.

He was preceded in death by his father, T.W. "Bill" Herndon.

He is survived by his wife Molly of Glen Elder, KS; his mother Sally Herndon of Glen Elder, KS; his children Kevin Shane Herndon and Megan Herndon Edwards (Justin) all of Highland Village, TX; his grandkids Ryan Elmore, Skylar Edwards, Gavin Herndon, Caleb and Conner Smith, and step son Chad Smith; one sister Rosemary McDanel, Joplin, MO; three brohters Mike (Jacki) Herndon, Oak Cliff, TX, James (Evelyn) Herndon, Waxahachie, TX, Shawn (Angie) Herndon, Glen Elder, KS; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A private graveside service for family and friends will be held at 4:30 P.M. Saturday, December 1 at Glenwood Cemetery, Glen Elder. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association. Cremation has taken place. McDonald-Roberts Funeral Service, Beloit is handling arrangements.

As Pat would say, "All you gotta do…until that time!"
