Leland "Lee" F. Green

Lee came into this world in Osceola, Missouri in 1933. He died Monday, June 26, 2017 at the Mitchell County Hospital at the age of 84.
He lived all of his life in central Kansas. Lee married Dawna Irene Clawson and they had a daughter, Sabrina Lee Green. Lee and Dawna separated several years ago.
Lee worked as a car salesman for many years, had interest in a pawn shop and worked with Keith Shamburg in the Green Shamburg Insurance office in Beloit. Lee was an avid gun collector which finished with a complete collection of Winchester rifles. He also loved to hunt and fish, and of course race cars. He was one of the first at the start of the Dust Devils semi stock car club. The Dust Devils worked hard to get the ¼ mile dirt track built in Beloit. He was in the Army National Guard in Beloit for several years, and achieved the rank of Sergeant. Lee loved South Dakota and owned a home in Custer for many years.
Lee was preceded in death by his daughter Sabrina Lee Wright of Oklahoma in 2008; his mother Lois Lucille Green-Zimmerman in 2011; father Floyd Green, step-father Math Zimmerman; niece Cynthia Ann Green; and nephew Alan Green of Great Bend.
Lee is survived by his wife Nora; two grandchildren Taylor and Tanner Wright and several great grandchildren all of Oklahoma; his brother Larry Green and wife Betty Jo Green of Mesa, Arizona; and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be at 10 AM Friday, June 30 at the Beloit First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Thursday at the Church. Memorials may be given to Solomon Valley Hospice.
