Loren Donald "Bus" McClintock was born on November 11, 1910 in the Greenmound Township near Beloit, Kansas, the son of Luther and Rose Ella Watson McClintock. He died Monday, December 4, 2006 at the Mitchell County Hospital in Beloit at the age of 96 years and 23 days.
"Bus", as he was known, grew up and attended Simpson High School. He spent most of his life in the Simpson area as a farmer and stockman.
On August 3, 1935, he was united in marriage to Dorothy M. Guipre in Concordia. Two daughters were born to this union. They were privileged to spend nearly 52 years of marriage together until her death on July 25, 1987.
Bus enjoyed his sports, especially basketball and football. His greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.
He was a member of the Concordia Elks Lodge and the Simpson Masonic Lodge. He also attended the Eureka Chapel before it disbanded.
In addition to his wife, Dorothy, Bus was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Harry, Claude, and Onis.
Bus is survived by his two daughters, Diane Morris and her husband Bob of Salina, and Joni Klaus of Wichita; two granddaughters, Lauren and Kendra Klaus of Wichita; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, Decmeber 30 at the McDonald Funeral Home. A private family burial service will be at Highland Cemetery near Beloit. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be given to Hilltop Lodge.
