LouBelle Rita Heiman was born July 18, 1931 to John R. and Adelaide M. Flach Hesse on a farm near Paxico, Kansas. Her Heavenly release from a lengthy illness came early Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at the Mitchell County Hospital in Beloit, Kansas at the age of 81 years.

LouBelle attended school in the Paxico area and came to this area as a caregiver for the Ed Hund children. After the children were grown, she took care of Mrs. Pierce, and it was at a dance that she met her future husband John William "Jack" Heiman, and they were married May 6, 1953 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Beloit.

Together, LouBelle and Jack were the parents of five children Beverly, Tony, Bonnie, Brenda and Ted. They built their home at 521 East Eighth in Beloit and lived there for many years. She took care of her family and for many years worked as a cook for Hilltop Lodge and was a housekeeper for the Mitchell County Hospital.

LouBelle was a kind, compassionate and hardworking person who was always there for her family. She loved to cook and sew and will be long remembered for her delicious fried chicken, noodles, and cinnamon rolls. She was a wonderful seamstress and made clothes for her family including wedding dresses for her daughters. Always busy, she made beautiful quilts.

Besides her family, LouBelle was a devout member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She faithfully attended Mass and enjoyed making countless pies for bereavement dinners and always looked forward to cooking for the annual Harvest Festival. LouBelle was a member of the Ladies Guild, Catholic Daughters of America along with the VFW Post 6242 Auxiliary

LouBelle and her husband later sold their home and moved to Lincoln before his death on November 28, 1998. She resided at Sunnyslope Manor prior to becoming a resident at Hilltop Lodge.
