Mack Vincent Gormly was born on June 16, 1968 in California, the son of Eugene and Bonnie Rosson Gormly. He died early Saturday, October 19, 2019 at his home in Beloit, Kansas following a battle with cancer at the age of 51.
Mack lived with his family in California and later Seattle, before they made their home in Beloit, where he attended school before graduating from Beloit High School in 1987.
His granddad first got Mack interested on working on cars – a passion he enjoyed his entire life. He also loved hunting and fishing, bowling, cutting wood, and making his own deer jerky.
On August 24, 1991, he was united in marriage with Kelly VanWey in Ionia, Kansas. Two children were born to this union.
Mack was a hard worker and always loved helping others. And he was always ready to visit, as he did not know a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie; his brother, Carl; his sister, Debra; his grandparents; mother-in-law, Peggy; and his sister-in-law, Kathy.
Mack is survived by his wife Kelly of the home; his son Cameron and friend Chay and her daughter Rylie of Beloit; his daughter, Kristin and fiancé Scott and daughter Kiya of Beloit; his father, Eugene of Beloit; sister, Dawn Harmon and her husband Charles of Beloit, brother, Larry Gormly of Belle Plaine; sister, Mary Gormly of Osawatomie; brothers-in-law, Roger VanWey of Hutchinson and Alan and wife Tanya VanWey of Clay Center; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
Memorial services will be at 10 AM Friday, October 25 at the Roberts Family Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place & there will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Solomon Valley Hospice or the Family Expense Fund.
