Margaret L. Lowdermilk

Margaret Lois Lowdermilk, the daughter of Bruce and Maggie Reese Place, was born June 4, 1918, at Glen Elder, Kansas. She died May 25, 2006, at the Mitchell County Hospital Long Term Care Unit in Beloit, Kansas, at the age of 87 years.
Margaret grew up and attended school in the Glen Elder area where she was a lifelong resident. After graduation from Glen Elder High School, she took Normal Training and taught a term of country school.
Margaret was married to Sheldon Lowdermilk, and after he was killed in 1962, she attended Brown-Mackie Business College in Salina and served as a bookkeeper for the Mitchell County Hospital for several years.
Margaret attended the Glen Elder United Methodist Church and was a member of the Business & Professional Women's organization.
She is survived by a niece, Warri Joan Scott and her husband, Clarence of Hillrose, Colorado.

A graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 31, at the Glenwood Cemetery in Glen Elder. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the McDonald Funeral Home in Beloit. Memorials may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
