Artist, musician, poetess, homemaker, wife and mother, Marilyn Brown died in Beloit, Kansas on May 11, 1925.
She married Frank D. Brown on March 22, 1947 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She graduated from Colorado College as an art major.
The Browns raised three children in Belleville, Illinois. Marilyn was active in the Parent/Teachers Association, serving as president for a time. Marilyn was a lifelong member of Temple Beth Israel. She was a tireless volunteer, working elections at the St. Clair County Courthouse, and knitting baby and lap blankets for the Senior Center.
She enjoyed bridge club, her many friends, three grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Her inner and outer beauty was manifested throughout her life and in every work of art she produced.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank and son Richard. She is survived by her eldest son, Tandy W. Brown of Estes Park, Colorado and her daughter, Christy L. Metz of Jewell, Kansas.
No services are planned. Cremation was handled by McDonald-Roberts Funeral Service in Beloit, Kansas.
