Marjorie M. Eberle

Marjorie Marie Eberle was born October 2, 1929 to Meril and Helen Weidenhaft of Glen Elder, Kansas. Marjorie passed away April 6, 2018 at the Mitchell County Hospital Health System at the age of 88 years. Marjorie graduated from Glen Elder High School in 1947. Marjorie and her sister, Dorotha went to school all twelve years together.

She married Max Eberle on July 25, 1948. This July they would have been married 70 years. They were both members of the Glen Elder Christian Church. She was a member of the Glen Elder Ladies Aid and the Order of Eastern Star.

Marjorie worked at the local restaurant, and grocery store then in her later years was employed at the Glen Elder Grade School as a Title One Aide then as a cook.

Survivors include her husband, Max, of the home; son Ron (Linda) Eberle and daughter Sherri Linton of Glen Elder, KS; Grandchildren Lisa Large (Jon Winsel), Travis (Mary) Eberle, Tara (Mark) Bergmann, Tiffany (Brad) Schroeder and Trevor (Sarah) Linton; 15 great-grandchildren; and sister, Dorotha Johnston.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Merle and Helen Weidenhaft and brother-in-law, Willis (Bud) Johnston.

Funeral services will be at 10 AM Monday, April 9 at the Glen Elder Christian Church. Visitation will be from 1-8 PM, with family present from 6-7:30 PM Sunday, April 8 at the Roberts Family Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the Church or Glen Elder Senior Center.
