Marjorie Ann Koster of Beloit, Kansas died August 25, 2008 at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, Kansas at the age of 88.
Marjorie was born south of Cawker City, Kansas on a farm September 22, 1919 to Matt and Susan Koster. She grew up in Cawker City and graduated from St Theresa's Academy.
Her mother died when Marjorie was a teenager and her father Matt married Katherine Gradig. Marge moved to Beloit with her father and step-mother and worked at the Beloit Daily Call until her retirement. She enjoyed traveling and visiting with her friends and family when she wasn't working.
Marjorie was a member of St Johns Catholic Church, Beloit, Kansas and an active member of the St. John's Ladies Guild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Isabell and husband Logan Stoeber. Survivors include a niece Sr Susan Stoeber, Concordia and nephew John Stoeber and wife Diana, Jewell, Kansas and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 28, at St. John's Catholic Church in Beloit with burial at St. John's Cemetery. A vigil service will be at 6:00 PM Wednesday at the McDonald Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to St. John's Trust Fund or Mt. Joseph Senior Village.
