Marjorie Ruth Tobald was born October 24, 1923 to William Carl Fredrick and Eva Estella Studt Henning on a farm near Glasco, Kansas. She departed this life unexpectedly Monday afternoon, November 28, 2011 at the Mitchell County Hospital in Beloit, Kansas at the age of 88 years.

It was on July 16, 1944 that she married Robert Carl Tobald at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Three sons William R., James C. and John A. were born to this union.

Marjorie loved farm life and her family. She was a true farm wife and helping with all of the farm work. Besides helping with the farm, she loved her family and was always there for them and prided herself in attending as many of her grandchildren's activities as she could. She was always ready to play cards with her family and friends. Marjorie was not one to sit idle as she was always doing something. She also enjoyed traveling, having taken several long trips to Europe and Alaska with her sisters.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Her husband Robert died in November, 1985. In addition, Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Wilfred and Marvin Henning, and sisters Frances Mosher Webster and Dorothy King.

Left to mourn her untimely passing and celebrate her life are her sons William R. Tobald, James C. Tobald and wife CJ, John A. Tobald all of Glasco; two sisters Helen Cain of Los Gatos, CA, Norma Pounds and husband Keat of Colorado Springs, CO; six beloved grandchildren Anthony, Elizabeth, Kristiana, Kurtis, Phillip and Tyler Tobald, and a host of many relatives and friends.
