Marlene Sue Pinnell

Marlene Sue Pinnell was born February 4, 1970 to John C. and Nancy V. Moore Beitz at Eureka, Kansas. She was released from a lengthy illness Friday, December 22, 2011 at Rochester Methodist Hospital, Rochester, Minnesota at the age of 41 years.

Marlene was raised on a farm in Greenwood County, Kansas. She attended school in Eureka and graduated from Eureka High School in 1988 and attended Butler County Community College in El Dorado, Kansas.

On October 27, 1990, she was united in marriage to Charles Cory Pinnell at Christ Lutheran Church in Eureka. One son Charles Tyler Pinnell was born to this union. They made their home in Glasco, Kansas.

A people person at heart, Marlene's mission in life was truly serving others. She worked for the Citizen's National Bank and the State Farm Insurance Agency in Concordia, Kansas as long as her health would allow. Even despite failing health, she actively and aggressively supported the Southern Cloud Warriors football team and other sporting events as well. Marlene was very devoted to her family and friends.

She was baptized into Christ at Christ Lutheran Church in Eureka by Pastor Robert Albin. She later attended the Glasco United Methodist Church.

Marlene was preceded in death by her father, John C. Beitz.

Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life are her husband Cory and son Tyler of the home; her mother Nancy Beitz of Eureka; one sister Marsha Evenson and husband Perry of Eureka; two brothers Mark Beitz and wife Teresa of Howard, KS, Marlin Beitz and wife Camie of Eureka; one uncle James Beitz and wife Barbara of Eureka; a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.

Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Dean Funeral Home in Glasco. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Christ Lutheran Church in Eureka, Kansas with Pastor Tim Carey officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery near Eureka. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Gift of Life Transplant House.
