Marlene Wiles was born on November 16, 1944 in Phillips County, Kansas, the daughter of Raymond and Helen Young Rodenbaugh. She died December 30, 2020 at the Lincoln Park Manor in Lincoln, Kansas at the age of 76.

Marlene served as a clerk for the Hunter Meat Market, and was also the postmaster for many years. She also served many positions in the community.

She had a smile that would light up a room, and was a great caregiver to all. She touched many lives, and will truly be missed by many.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Rodger; and brothers, Roy and Bobby.

She is survived by her daughter, Machelle of Hunter, son Troy (Jane) of Inverness, Florida, daughter Malinda Cunningham of Ellsworth, and son Todd of Lincoln; two sisters, Karlene (Lloyd) Beach of Panora, Iowa, and Darlene Harper of Alma, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Wanda Rodenbaugh of Loomis, Nebraska; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Graveside memorial services will be at 10 AM Saturday, July 24 at the Rose Valley Cemetery near Hunter followed by a lunch at the Grace Chapel in Hunter. The public is encouraged to wear Red or Nebraska gear. Cremation has been chosen & there will be no visitation. Memorials may be given to the Family Expense Fund.
