Martha Theresa Kohler was born September 30, 1925 to Frank Joseph and Anna Katherine Glanzman Kramer at Altus, Arkansas. She departed this life of 84 years,
7 months, and 18 days late Tuesday afternoon, May 18, 2010 at the Mitchell County Hospital in Beloit, Kansas.
Martha grew up in a rather large family, and worked at the Dixie Cup factory in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
On November 20, 1954, she married Martinus Edward Kohler and shortly after they were married, they moved to Beloit. Six daughters Sharon, Carol, Martina, Karen, Kathy, and Theresa were born to this happy union.
Martha's greatest treasure in life was her family. She was a genuine matriarch who was always there for them. She loved people, and made friends feel part of her family. A woman of great faith, she imparted the teachings of the Catholic faith to her children along with kindness and patience. Her leisure time was happiest spent sewing, making dolls and other craft items, often for the Harvest Festival.
Martha was a devout member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and was very active in the Ladies Guild.
Martha was a life member of the Mitchell County VFW Auxiliary No. 6242; she was more than just a member, she was a true patriot and very proud of her country.
Her parents, six brothers, one sister, and one beloved granddaughter Alison Cady preceded her in death.
She will be deeply missed by her husband Martinus of the home, daughters Sharon Stuart and husband Jack of Dodge City, Carol Gengler and husband Mike, Martina Stover and husband Scott all of Beloit, Karen Eis and husband Thomas of Overland Park, Kansas, Kathy Gilbert and husband Tim of Merriam, Kansas, Theresa Cady and husband Jeff of Marion, Kansas; one sister Mary Bowling of Ft.
