Martha L. Mcclintock

January 10, 1922 — November 22, 2015

Martha Louise McClintock was born January 10. 1922 to Dolphos and Jessie Mae Fisher Strait at Concordia, Kansas. She departed this life of 93 years Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Hilltop Lodge in Beloit, Kansas.

Peggy, as she was known and loved by all, grew up in Concordia, and on March 16, 1941 she was united in marriage to Vernice L. McClintock in Concordia. This happy union was blessed with a large family Linda Sue, Sandra Joyce, Harry Lee, Randy Jay, Debra Jean, Kristi Lynn, and Karl Kevin. They made their home in the Green Mound community south of Asherville until moving into
Beloit in 1966.

A true Matriarch, Peggy cherished her Faith, her Family, and her Friends. She was always upbeat no matter what was happening and was a true kid at heart. In her youth, she and one of her sisters enjoyed acrobatics and were invited to go with Bob Hope on a tour. She lived her faith in all that she did and enjoyed attending church whenever possible. Her large family brought her immense joy; she loved baking and hosting large family gatherings. Peggy loved her friends and quickly made new ones. Her quieter moments where happiest spent listening to music. Her legacy of being a benchmark mother, a woman of honesty and integrity will live on forever.

She was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Vernice, one daughter Linda Sue McClintock, and her sibilings Maxine Breault, Josephine Duffy, Wilbur Strait, Paul Strait and Donnie Strait.

Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her long, vibrant, and productive life are her children Sandra Joyce Littrell and husband Lloyd of Beloit, Harry Lee McClintock and wife Joan of Clay Center, Randy McClintock and wife Paulette of Beloit, Debra Jean Walters and husband Dean of Beloit, Kristi Lynn Cox and husband Doug of Beloit, Karl Kevin McClintock and wife Janice of Beatrice, Nebraska; one sister Betty Nichols of Crossville, Tennessee, a multitude of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church with burial following in the Green Mound Cemetery near Asherville. Memorials may be given to the church or the Hilltop Lodge Activity Fund. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the McDonald Funeral Home.
