Marvin McGuire, Jr.

Marvin Bruce “Mick” McGuire Jr., age 85, of Glen Elder, Kansas, passed away on March 24, 2026. Born on October 6, 1940, Mick lived a rich and joyful life, marked by love, laughter, and a deep connection to family and the outdoors.

 A proud veteran of the Navy, Mick carried that same dedication and spirit into every part of his life. He was fun, personable, compassionate, and humble—always making others feel at ease. Mick loved being outside—fishing, golfing, and hunting were among his greatest passions. His love of animals, especially dogs, brought him endless joy. 

Family was everything to Mick. He is survived by his five children: Kimberly Crawford and her husband, Jim Crawford; Jimmy McGuire; Ronnie McGuire; Donna Seburg and her husband, Scott Seburg; and Mickey Skelton. He was a proud grandfather of 13 grandchildren and a beloved great-grandfather of 15 great-grandchildren, each one a bright part of his legacy. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Bruce McGuire Sr. and Rachel McGuire, and his brother, Dennis McGuire. 

Mick’s life was a celebration of love, service, and the simple pleasures that made every day special. His spirit will live on in his family and the countless lives he touched with his kindness and warmth.

Funeral services will be at Glen Elder Christian Church on April 6, 2026 at 11:00 AM.

Memorial can be given to the Glen Elder American Legion or Glen Elder Lions Club.
