Michael A. Heidrick

February 4, 1958 — September 2, 2024

Beloit

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael (Mike) Alan Heidrick, age 66, on September 2, 2024, after a courageous battle with ALS. He was embraced by his loving wife and daughters at the time of his passing.

Mike was born on February 4, 1958, in Beloit, Kansas, the son of Richard (Dick) Heidrick and Jacquelyn (Jackie) Watson, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his adored wife, Judy, of 44 years; beloved daughters Ashley (Jason) Biegert of Topeka, Kansas and Brenna (Steffen) Koops of London, England; cherished grandsons Bryson, Bennett and Brody Biegert, as well as numerous other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

Mike was a dedicated employee at AGCO Corporation (formerly Sunflower Manufacturing) for 42 years, as a Manager of the Parts Department. Known for his organization and particularity (there and through all facets of his life), Mike was proudly touted as a leading example. It was there where he met the love of his life.

Mike thoroughly enjoyed time at Waconda Lake, where he and his wife, along with his devoted brother Steve, sister-in-law Anita, and many special friends made their camper and pontoon a second home. He found joy in simple pleasures, whether it was gathering around a well-tended evening fire under the stars or taking pride in his perfectly maintained lawn. Mike had a passion for music, belting out in song with his cherished siblings in their childhood, and throughout his life with his own children. He and his wife enjoyed long walks and bike rides together, a testament to his commitment to taking care of himself and the strength of his heart. He shared a special bond with his grandson, Bryson, passing down his love for fishing, gardening, and other outdoor activities. Mike's adventurous spirit took him many places, including a memorable trip through Europe before his diagnosis with Brenna and Steffen, along with countless family vacations as his girls were growing up.

Mike's legacy is one of love, compassion, and unyielding strength. He will be missed beyond words, but his spirit will live on in all who were lucky enough to know him.
