Milton Henderson

Milton D. Henderson was born on May 14, 1934 in rural Morrowville, Kansas to Paul and Faye Henderson. His Father called him home on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at the age of 89.

Milton graduated from Morrowville High School in 1952. He served in the US Army for 2 years at Fort Leonardwood, Missouri, as well as 4 years in the Army Reserves. Milton married Wanda Nutz on December 21, 1957, and three children were born to this union: Michael, Teresa, and Janette. They were later divorced.

Milton, along with his brother Eldon, owned and operated Henderson Truck Stop in Glasco for 37 years. He taught Hunter's Education classes for many years, and served as a VIM volunteer at the Methodist Church for many years. He had a passion for gardening and sharing his produce with anyone who would take it. He also enjoyed his spare time hunting, fishing, and trapping.

Milton is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Eldon Henderson, Barbara Cook, Madeline Brown, and twin boys who died at birth; daughter, Janette Pounds; and grandchildren, Shawn Henderson, and Kerri, Kaleb, and Kyle Pounds.

He is survived by his children, Michael (Cindy) Henderson and Teresa Adams; son-in-law, Greg Pounds; grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris) Fritz, Christopher (Kim Muse) Edmonson, Nathaniel Edmonson (Melissa Hyman), Austin Edmonson, Kristen Pounds, Kody (Staci) Pounds, and Kimberly (Joe) Peterson; great-grandchildren, Lane, Gauge, and Bailey Fritz, Alice and Shelby Edmonson, Izabella, Fenix, and Kinzley Edmonson, Carter and Cameron Jenkins, Colton and Cadence Ewing, Kaden, Karly, and Kora Pounds, and Eric Peterson; and siblings, Dorothea Boutz, Pauline (Howard) Hynek, and Sally (Gene) Buchholz.

Funeral services will be at 10 AM Thursday, August 3 at the Glasco Bible Fellowship Church. There will be no visitation & the casket will remain closed. Memorials may be given to the Glasco Corner Store.
