Milton Jamison

Milton Leroy Jamison, the son of Earl and Nettie Somers Jamison, was born September 23, 1948, at Concordia, Kansas. He died July 1, 2007, of an apparent homicide at his home in Abilene, Kansas, at the age of 58 years.
Milton grew up and attended school in the Delphos area. He worked for area farmers for several years and also worked for Sunflower Manufacturing Company in Beloit and Eldorado Industries in Minneapolis until poor health required him to retire.
Milton greatly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He had a knife and sword collection and liked playing cards and dominos with his friends. Fishing and demolition derby cars were things he enjoyed in his spare time.
Survivors include his mother, Nettie Jamison of Delphos; a daughter, Karen Jamison of Assaria and fiancé, Joseph Keim; a step-daughter, Christina Mitchell of Glasco and fiancé, Christopher Pollet; a son, Khan Steele of Newton; a sister, Sue Staley of Concordia; four brothers, Don and wife, Shirley and Les and wife, Jeannie of Delphos; Ronnie of Abilene, and James and wife, Margaret of Manchester; and four grandchildren, Trennon and Logan Crissman, Kayden Keim, and Joshua Mitchell-Fulton. He was preceded in death by his father; his former wife, Phyllis, a sister, Daisy Jepson; and five brothers, Ted, Lewis, Gene, Kenny and Doug Jamison.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Saturday, July 7, at the Glasco Christian Church with burial in Glasco Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at the Dean Funeral Home in Glasco. Memorials may be given to the funeral expense fund.
