Monte Lynn Dockstader 57, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2018 at the Mill Creek Area, South of Cawker City, KS. He was born at Mitchell County Hospital, Beloit, KS, December 5, 1960. He grew up in Cawker City and attended school there.

"Doc" and brother Martin (Mike) worked together on elevators doing welding & repair, for approx. 5 years. He then welded at Sunflower Mfg. for many years. The last several years he did odd jobs and worked at Triple B Salvage.

Monte was united in marriage to Tracie Valeka and from this union two sons were born, Dalton and Reece. The marriage later dissolved.
Doc was mechanically minded and was often seen out in the yard repairing his vehicles. He enjoyed cutting wood and was often seen with a trailer full to burn in his wood stove or in a campfire.

Doc had a trusted friend and companion, his dog, Adrian. He loved the outdoors and nature. He often would rescue abandoned birds and nurse them back to health. He enjoyed fishing, listening to music and hanging out with his friends.

Monte is survived by his sons Dalton Dockstader of Glasco, KS, and Reece Dockstader of Beverly, KS; his mother, Rose Dockstader, Downs, KS and brother Jim (Brenda) Tietjens, Glen Elder, KS.  Monte was preceded in death by his father George; brothers; Martin (Mike) Dockstader and Larry Wyman.

A Memorial Service will be held for Monte Dockstader on Wednesday, September 5 at the Roberts Family Funeral Service in Beloit at 2:00 PM.  Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Family Funeral Expense Fund, in care of the funeral home.
